Description:

VITA offers free tax help by trained volunteers to those who qualify. VITA sites are located at convenient community locations, and volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation to individuals with earned incomes of generally $62,000 or less. Can help with special credits, such as Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), Child Tax Credit and Credit for the Elderly for which you may qualify. No appointment needed (first come, first served, doors open at 9:45am) Call 865-748-0151 for information. Appointments required for Saturdays.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU:

(1) Photo ID for all adults, and birth dates for you, your spouse, and all dependents listed on your return.
(2) To file taxes electronically on a married-filing-joint return BOTH SPOUSES must be present.
(3) Social Security cards/ITIN for ALL individuals to be claimed, or some other official documentation - i.e. resident alien.
(4) All wage and earning statements from all employers for income received last year or documentation of self-employment
income.
(5) Interest and dividend statements (forms1099).
(6) Forms 1095-A,B &C Health Coverage statements, Health Insurance Exemption Certificate, if received.
(7) Total paid for Child Care expenses - Must have statement from daycare provider that includes the EIN or Social Security
number of provider.
(8) Copy of last year's Federal and State returns, if available.
(9) For Direct Deposit, you need proof of bank account routing number and account number (such as a blank check) of your
checking or savings account.

Tax preparation hours: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 10:00am - 1:00pm, from 2/01/24-4/13/24
