TNSTEP is Tennessee's Parent & Youth Training and Information Center that assists families in navigating the special education process with training and information on the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), offering individual assistance, consultations, referrals, support services, in-person group training and informational materials. Our goal is to empower parents so that they can become the best advocates for their child or teen and be effective partners with school staff in planning the appropriate educational programs for their children and youth with disabilities.

Headquartered in Greeneville, which serves as the East Tennessee office and with additional Offices in Middle TN (Nashville), and West TN (Memphis), plus a satellite office in Chatanooga, with a bilingual staff in each area; TNSTEP creates "a brighter future for children and youth with disabilities" all across Tennessee.

Professional Development for School Districts - Provide training on Improving Family Involvement, Early Childhood and Post-Secondary Transition Planning, and Customized Needs-Based Training.

Secondary Transition Institutes and Information Fairs - Full day events where teachers, students, and family members learn about preparing students with disabilities to successfully transition from high school into the community to lead productive and independent adult lives.
