HOMELESS PREVENTION SERVICES:

The goal of the Homeless Prevention Program is to provide financial assistance, counseling, and other services to prevent families and individuals from being evicted, losing their homes, or becoming homeless. The program focuses on those individuals that do not have sufficient resources or other social networks such as family, friends, or faith based communities that are able to assist them.

ASSISTANCE OFFERED:

- Payments for security deposits

- Rental application fees

- Landlord incentives

- Short-term rental assistance
Support is based on month to month basis.
Client must attend monthly meetings with case manager to remain eligible for services.

- Utility Assistance (ONLY IF CAUSING EVICTION)

- Moving cost assistance to move into a new, more affordable home.

ELIGIBILITY:
An individual or family must meet the following requirements to be eligible:

- Under 50% Area Median Income (AMI)

- Exhausted all other resources

- Be at risk of becoming homeless within the next 14 days:
A person living in a hotel/motel as their primary nighttime residence and can no longer afford their stay.
25 year old or under At Risk Youth.
Individual being released/discharged from a hospital, residential, or correctional facility with no primary nighttime residence.

- Must have a state issued photo ID and Social Security card.
