Provides networking, advocacy, and educational opportunities for service providers.
TN Commission on Children and Youth (TCCY) is an independent state agency with a primary mission of advocacy for improving the quality of life for TN children and families. Mediates complaints involving the care of children IN STATE CUSTODY and their families through the Ombudsman (including TennCare providers, schools, residential and non-residential care facilities, foster care, detention facilities, public agencies, and social services agencies operated by either the state or one of its contractors). Develops a comprehensive system of care for the state. Provides a mental health council that advocates for children's rights in this area.
