Description:
RIP (Regional Intervention Program) is an early intervention program serving children between the ages of 2 and 6 with behavioral challenges (the child must be enrolled before their 6th birthday). RIP tackles problem behaviors such as aggression, tantrums, non-compliance, destruction of property, high activity level, trouble at school, and more. Parents serve as primary therapists for their own children at RIP, with valuable peer support from other families facing similar challenges. Veteran RIP parents and staff assist newly enrolled parents in learning, practicing, and implementing positive behavior management skills, strategies, and techniques to address their children's behavior issues. Families are expected to participate every Tuesday and Thursday for 2 hours, and it takes 6-9 months from enrollment to graduation.

Program Fees:
No Fee; RIP is a free program, funded by a grant through the State of Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.
Eligibility:
Families with preschool age children (under 6 years old) with behavioral difficulties in Bradley and surrounding counties. Must be a TN resident.

RIP tackles problem behaviors such as aggression, bedtime/sleeping issues, destruction of property, high activity level, non-compliance, mealtime problems, running from adults, separation anxiety, tantrums, and trouble at school. Parents serve as primary therapists for their own children at RIP, with valuable peer support from other families facing similar challenges. Veteran RIP parents and staff assist newly enrolled parents in learning, practicing, and implementing positive behavior management skills, strategies, and techniques to address their children's behavior issues.

Proof of a recent well-child visit with current immunization records and other requested documents.
Eligibility
Parent or legal guardian must be TN resident, with child younger than 6 years old with concerns about the child's behavioral problems and/or developmental problems, including those with special needs. Parent or legal guardian must agree to participate fully in each scheduled visit.
Fees
