Description:

Conexion Americas provides free after school career and college readiness program for Latino youth in grades 9-12 in Davidson County. Currently offered at Glencliff High School, Overton High School, and Cane Ridge High School (Only for 11th and 12th graders at Cane Ridge High School). Snack provided but no transportation to the programming site is available.

Hours:

After School Hours: 2:15 pm - 4:00 pm, once a week per grade, on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, depending on the site. Office Hours: Mon - Fri 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Volunteer Opportunities:

Full- and part-time Spanish-speaking and non-Spanish-speaking volunteers are welcome to teach an English as a Second Language (ESL) class; assist with childcare during Adult ESL classes and other workshops; help with middle-school and high-school programs as a tutor, speaker or mentor; work with our nationally recognized homeownership, taxpayer and small business development programs; interpret at workshops, meetings and special events; lead children!€™s activities at our parent engagement workshops; and help with set-up and registration at special events.
