Description:
Provides free string instruction to underserved Nashville youth, four years or older, every Saturday morning at various Nashville Metro parks and recreation centers. The non-profit provides free string instruments (violin, viola, cello or bass), free music and music stands for youth who wish to learn to play who could not otherwise afford to do so and sponsors music performances in the city. A parent or legal guardian must also accompany the child or youth at the lessons and also learn to play an instrument. The focus is mostly on classical music, with some traditional fiddle tunes occasionally included in the repertoire.
