Description:
Provides mortgage, rent, electric, gas and water payment assistance to single working mothers, who are over-qualified for government assistance. Assistance is available once per year. Cannot receive both rent and utility assistance in the same year. In some cases, proof of divorce may be required. Agency assists persons who have a household income of $33.000 or more and mortgage help is available to persons up to 100% AMI (Average Median Income) in Davidson and Rutherford Counties. Hope Station also offers free counseling sessions for single mothers with children under 18 at home (8 sessions for moms and/or children) through a third party mental health practitioner. NOTE: OUT OF FUNDING UNTIL MID APRIL 2024.
