Description:

The mission of The HELP Center is to provide ex-offenders and low-income individuals support to restructure their lives and achieve success with counseling, educational, employment, and supportive services. Support services include a food pantry, assisting with SNAP and SNAP applications, a work readiness program, short-term financial assistance for utilities and rent when funding is available, addiction recovery program and case management to help vulnerable persons get on a stable footing.

Hours:

Business Hours: Mon - Fri 9:30 am - 4:00 pm
Food Pantry Hours: Mon - Wed 9:30 am - 3:30 pm

Call to schedule an assessment or apply online; requires proof of income, proof of residence, proof of being on public assistance and photo ID

Offenders and persons 18 or older with low incomes in Davidson County (may be able to help outside the county if persons can drive into Nashville)

    Description

    Provides food pantry with emergency food for persons waiting for SNAP benefits to start or those with financial hardships due to illness, unemployment or other hardships.

    Must have proper identification, proof of residence and a proof of income. (Also work with homeless individuals who may not have the requested documentation)

        Description

        A program for participants enrolled in other programs to conduct a housing search based on background not credit. Participants will meet with a case manager for the service. Open to the public.

        Description

        Provides a job readiness program with 13 modules to help prepare persons for employment. A case manager helps clients with the SNAP E&T program, a volunteer program for people receiving SNAP. Program offers soft skills training and supportive services such as bus passes, gas cards, work uniform and guidance from a case manager to help persons secure employment.

        Must be 18 years of age or older. The HELP Center works with ex-offenders and low-income individuals.
