Description:
Mental Health America works to improve lives of individuals with mental health challenges by providing education advocacy, and support. This regional office serves all counties in Middle and West Tennessee. Services offered through this office include the following: Caregiver Support Services for those caring for persons with Dementia or other memory loss issues; Mental health education for students, parents, and educational agencies on topics such as suicide prevention, coping skills, anti-bullying, and a variety of other mental health topics; Free Mental Health First Aid, Question Persuade Refer (QPR), and Signs of Suicide (SOS) training for first responders, educators, and default first responders (anyone who will be the first on the scene in a mental health crisis;) and Free online mental health screenings at www.mhamidsouth.org.
