Salvation Army - Knox County - Operation Bootstrap Rapid-Rehousing Program

Description:

Operation Bootstrap Rapid-Rehousing Program is a transitional housing program. Its goal is to provide safe, temporary housing for a total of 26 single men and women. The program is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week with onsite cameras throughout the facility for a safe structured environment. Supportive services and financial assistance are provided for residents to quickly access affordable, permanent housing and to prevent imminent returns to a violent situation and homelessness. An occupancy charge applies. Supportive services include Intensive Case Management, one-on-one counseling, life skills, court advocacy, transportation, financial empowerment, budgeting, nutrition classes, meals, random drug screening and substance abuse education, and utility and rental assistance. Case Management is continued for up to a year after completion of the program. The maximum length of stay is 2 years.
