Description:

The Tennessee Department of Children's Services (DCS) encompasses all aspects of public child welfare, child protective services, adoptions, foster care, delinquent youth and treatment facilities in Chester County. The agency is responsible for post-adoption functions, putative father registry, sealed centralized record storage system, and coordination of adoption assistance activities for regional offices; foster care applications, placement and follow-up; juvenile treatment facilities in the state; investigations into child abuse and neglect; and serves children and families at risk of being committed to State custody, coordinates services for children in state custody, and reunifies children leaving state custody with their families.
