Description:

The Sweet Addiction is a non-profit baked goods and catering company that provides job training, employment opportunities, mentorship and education opportunities to women in recovery from addiction, incarceration, human trafficking and domestic violence in Rutherford County. The agency's job readiness program prepares participants to join the workforce through job skills training and mentorship. Women accepted into the program are trained by local chefs and bakers in culinary skills and the agency provides business professional mentors and works with local agencies to employ participants who may be otherwise unemployable to help them become valuable members of the community.

Hours:

Mon - Fri 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Intake Process:

Call for appointment or walk in; must provide two forms of ID (for example, a state-issued photo ID like a drivers license, birth certificate or social security card). Potential program participants will be scheduled to meet with the Director for initial intake/assessment to determine the next steps.

Spanish speaking staff available; American Sign Language interpreter available with prior notice

Eligibility:

Women in recovery from addiction, incarceration, human trafficking and domestic violence who are seeking jobs and job training.
