Description:

Provides a senior center in McMinnville for Warren County residents with a wide variety of programs including meals four days a week at the center, adult day care program, in home services (Faith in Action CARES), a county-wide volunteer base to serve elderly or disabled persons needing in-home services. Homemaker assistance is offered to homebound older adults & adults with disabilities who are unable to perform household and management tasks on their own. Routine light housekeeping duties may include: sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, changing linens, preparing meals, laundry, grocery shopping and picking up medications. telephone assurances, health screening, Grocery/prescription/pickup and delivery (Warren County C.A.R.E.S. program), the Warren County Relatives as Parents program ( R.A.P.P.) support group, exercise classes, estate planning and guardianship information, ombudsman to help with long term care facility complaints and more.

Hours:

Senior Center Hours: Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 4:00 pm; Meals are provided four days a week at Noon (Monday, Tues, Wednesday and Friday) by UCHRA; Warren County C.A.R.E.S. program: Tue and Wed

Intake Process:

Walk in or call for information on the different programs. Call for meal schedule and to reserve a place.

Program Fees:

Adult Day Care Respite program: $25.00/Day or $5.00/hour; no fee for meals, but donations are welcome;

Eligibility:

Warren County seniors 55 and older for most Senior Center programs; Warren County C.A.R.E.S. programs for persons 60 and older who are homebound. R.A.P.P. support group is for relatives who are raising children as parents; Adult Day Care is for caregivers of an elderly person in Warren County who need a break; Homemaker assistance is for homebound older adults ages 60 and older in Warren County & adults with disabilities.
