Murfreesboro Cold Patrol is a homeless outreach agency providing case management, basic necessities like tents, sleeping bags, handwarmers and bug spray and harm reduction supplies to individuals experiencing homelessness in Murfreesboro, TN. Agency also provides a low cost transitional housing program for men and helps persons experiencing homelessness to obtain permanent housing, with a further year of case management provided as a follow up with clients.

Hours:

Office Hours are usually Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, but staff may be out of the office, so call or text first

Intake Process:

Call for appointment (may walk in, but call first to assure staff are currently in the office); although these documents are not required to apply, it is useful to bring a photo ID, drivers license, birth certificate and proof of income to speed up the application process

Program Fees:

No fee for outreach or case management; Men's transitional housing: $400/month, which includes rent, utilities, toiletries and wifi.

Languages:

Spanish and Arabic speaking staff can be provided with prior notice

Eligibility:

Will assist anyone who is homeless in Murfreesboro, regardless of criminal background, current/previous substance abuse, age, gender or sexual orientation. Transitional Housing program is for persons who identify as men who are working or receiving an SSi/SSDI check; although this is not a halfway house, some clients are in recovery, so all residents must be sober to live there.

Agency accepts volunteers of all ages, backgrounds and training levels; however, children are not allowed on camp visits. Volunteers needed for street outreach to homeless camps, sorting and organizing supplies, helping persons moving into permanent housing, and talking to, visiting and mentoring housed clients
