Good Neighbor Foundation (GNF) is HUD approved housing counseling agency, whose goal is to preserve homeownership for low and moderate income families and individuals. This course satisfies HUD's requirements for Federal, state and local downpayment housing assistance programs. This homebuyer education course provides first time homebuyers the essential tools for home ownership, including pre-purchase topics, evaluating buying power, steering clear of predatory loans and post purchase guidance on the significance of home maintenance and effective budgeting. Classes are offered both online and in person for a fee. The agency also provides free foreclosure prevention counseling for homeowners in danger of losing their homes, working with lenders and homeowners to keep them in their homes. Serves Davidson, Dickson, Hickman and Williamson counties.

Call to register or schedule an appointment or apply online; must provide photo ID, proof of income and mortgage records for foreclosure prevention counseling

Homebuyer education course: $99.00; No fee for foreclosure prevention counseling

Persons wishing to buy a home or homeowners in danger of foreclosure in Davidson, Dickson, Hickman and Williamson counties
