Description:

A voluntary program that offers therapy and other services to families of infants and young children with developmental delays or disabilities. Services are provided at no cost to families. TEIS is critically important to supporting the development of Tennessee children with disabilities and developmental delays as they prepare for school. If the child is eligible for services, they will be provided with different types of therapies to help the child reach their optimal development. This office covers Chester, Decatur, Fayette, Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Madison, McNairy and Tipton counties.

Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Intake Process:

Call to schedule an appointment, apply online or applicants can be referred by anyone.

Program Fees:

Evaluation and service coordination at no cost to eligible children. Medicaid/TennCare, Private insurance may be accessed

Eligibility:

Children can be screened for eligibility via their local TEIS office. Referrals can also be submitted by the medical community (ex. physician, hospitals, etc.) or others
