Description:

State bureau that assists employees and employers in coming to fair settlements of losses from occupational injuries and illnesses. Maintains records of compensation coverage on employees. Monitors benefits for job-related injuries and diseases. Compensation for injuries on the job should first be addressed with your employer, as the employer or the employer's insurance company will pay out worker's compensation benefits for eligible employees; this office only becomes involved if you feel that you have not been adequately compensated and need help in filing a complaint against your employer, or if you need information about your rights as a TN employee.
