Friends of Literacy is the single comprehensive resource for adult, child, and family literacy in the East Tennessee area. We help adults learn to read and write better or prepare to get a high school equivalency diploma. We provide family literacy services through area elementary schools, preschools, and Head Start locations, including resources for parents to help their children become better readers. Our Reading Mentors program provides trained tutors for struggling young readers in grades 1-3.

Hours:

Mon - Fri 9:00 am - 4:00 pm - please call before visiting the office due to small number of staff.
