Description:

HOMEOWNERSHIP PROGRAM: Habitat builds and sells homes to eligible buyers in the Blount County community. All Habitat homes are purchased using affordable 1st mortgage loans through USDA Rural Development or FAHE JustChoice Lending. Habitat works with eligible buyers to build a Habitat home, prepare for a mortgage loan application, and prepare for homeownership.

Program Fees:

All applications include a $25 application fee.
Additionally, all homebuyers pay for the homes they purchase using affordable mortgage loans.

Language assistance is available at no cost.

Eligibility:

HOMEOWNERSHIP PROGRAM:
Habitat has 3 basic criteria: need for housing, ability to repay an affordable mortgage, and willingness to partner. Additional qualifications include but are not limited to 12 months or more Blount County residency at the time or application, legal resident of the United States, household income at or below 80% area median income, no ownership interest in the last 3 years.
