Description:

Provides, upon request, one smoke alarm per residence to Knox County residents who cannot afford one. Rural/ Metro will install the alarm free of charge. Service also available to residents in Halls, Heiskell, Seymour, and Karns.

Mon - Thu 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Eligibility:

Residents of Knox County, Halls, Heiskell, Seymour, and Karns who are unable to afford a smoke alarm can call 865-215-3473 or make a request on-line at knoxcounty.org/fire/edu-smoke-detector-program.php. Residents of the city of Knoxville can call 865-595-4672.
