Description:

Promotes positive changes in local policies on women's health and care, educational equity, and economic self-sufficiency and sponsors research on women to help promote change. The council also offers workshops on recognizing, responding to and referrals regarding domestic violence, sexual harassment and assault. Also coordinates the Memphis Says No More Campaign and also sponsors WomenTalk - at a regular monthly time for women to gather, talk and share. The topics will be whatever those who gather want or need to discuss. Council also provides volunteer information through the memphissaysnomore.com website. Houses Women of Achievement community celebrations of local women's history and its website, womenofachievement.org.

Mon - Fri 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Program Fees:

Annual Membership Fees: $50.00/Individual; $150.00/Organization; $200.00/Sustaining Organization; individuals are not turned away because of an inability to pay

Any person or organization concerned with improving the status of women
