Provides an all-volunteer alliance which offers brochures about the funeral industry. The alliance publishes a comparison of funeral home prices and holds an annual meeting open to the public offering programs related to funerals. Also provides information about green burials and local and state regulations concerning these types of burials.

Questions about NATIONAL BURIAL INSURANCE POLICIES: these policies are now owned by Monumental Life Insurance Company (new name of Monumental is Transamerica) (1-800-638-3080) which should be called for information about cashing in a policy. If a policy needs to be used for a funeral in the Memphis area, High Point Funeral Chapel (901-454-5795) is the only funeral home in this area that has a contract with Transamerica to honor these policies.
