Description:

Provides testing/evaluation for dyslexia and other learning problems for children ages 6-16, 12-week remediation programs (one in spring and one in fall) for parents and students covering reading and math, 4-week summer reading/math program at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 6865 Poplar Pike, Memphis 38119 or other church sites in East Memphis. Also offers additional workshops for family members who wish to tutor their children.

Hours:

Remedial Program (Fall and Spring): Saturday weekly 8:15 am - 12:30 pm, 12-week program; Summer School Program: Mon - Fri 8:15 am - 3:30 pm, 4-week program

Program Fees:

$20.00/year per family annual dues to join Dyslexia Foundation. Registration Fees: $75.00/Child per semester; Spring Tuition: $300.00 with person willing to be trained; Summer Tuition: $300.00 for 12 weeks (if family member works as tutor during the session) or $480.00 without family member. Call for program schedules.

Eligibility:

Children ages 6-16 who are struggling with reading and writing or who are suspected of having a learning disability, such as ADD or ADHD or dyslexia.
