Provides medical care, treatment, and rehabilitation for injured, abused and neglected animals, pet adoptions, educational programs, pet therapy program for organizations, low-cost spaying/neutering and low-cost vaccination clinics, and volunteer opportunities.

Intake Process:

Intake is scheduled by appointment only as space is available and priority is given to animals with the most need. To start the process, email: intake@memphishumane.org or call 901-937-3916.

Program Fees:

Eligibility:

Shelby County residents or others who wish to adopt pets, those who want to have pets spayed or neutered and/or receive low-cost vaccinations; the Humane Society does not act as animal control for either Memphis or Shelby Country; if you have found a stray animal that you have to take somewhere you should contact your local animal control department. Intake at the Humane Society is done by appointment only.
