Description:

Offers interactive and educational exhibits and programs for children and their families all year. Interactive exhibits include a real airplane cockpit to explore, models of the Mississippi River, the ability to create your own tornado or earthquake, drive a fire engine and police motorcycle, disco dance, climb inside a tree house or skyscraper, perform on a stage, take a ride on a 1909 Dentzel Grand Carousel and more.

Program Fees:

Museum: $15.00, ages 1-100; children 1 year old and under free; H2O Splash Park and Outdoor Play Space and Dinosaur Dig: additional $5.00 (not included in museum fee);Carousel: additional $3.00. All children must be accompanied by an adult when visiting. Annual membership fees vary, see website for details: $125.00 for 2 persons; $145.00 family of 3 persons; $165.00 family of 4 persons.

Families who are residents of Shelby County who can't afford to pay admission may apply for "YES, Every Child!" memberships by stopping by the Admissions Desk during regular museum hours (Tue - Sun 9:00 am - 5:00 pm). Families must meet certain requirements to qualify, including providing proof of residence (MLGW bill). Phone calls and other inquiries are not accepted for this program; you must walk in to apply OR mail the completed form available at the website (CMOM.com)
