Description:

As an action initiative of Leadership Memphis, develops, promotes, and supports volunteerism throughout the Mid-South, including support and volunteer management training for local non-profits and government agencies in Shelby County. Provides searchable database for individuals and groups (including families and teens) looking for volunteer opportunities. Agency provides a system which allows nonprofits, corporations, organizations and individuals to track and manage their volunteer programs and hours. Through the Corporate Volunteer Council (CVC), works with businesses and corporations to develop and maintain employee engagement programs and foster volunteerism. Coordinates with local, state and federal emergency management groups to recruit and match volunteers with disaster relief volunteer opportunities. Volunteer Memphis also produces the annual 9/11 Day of Service, the MLK Days of Service, Make a Difference Day, Family Volunteer Day and the Volunteer Memphis Awards.

Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Call, email or visit website for searchable database with current volunteer opportunities and training that can be filtered by zip code, city, state or keyword search; may register online to volunteer.

Program Fees:

No Fee for volunteer placement; Fees apply for organizational training and events

Families, teens or individuals seeking to volunteer; organizations trying to develop volunteer programs and recruit volunteers to fulfill their missions; corporations seeking to create or grow their employee volunteer programs.
