NOTE: MUSEUM WILL CLOSE UNTIL THE END OF APRIL 2022 to REGROUP. The Blues Foundation is an international non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve blues heritage, celebrate blues recording and performance, expand worldwide awareness of the blues, and ensure the future of this uniquely American art form. Major annual events include the Blues Music Awards in May and the International Blues Challenge in January. The Blues Foundation manages dedicated funds for Generation Blues scholarships for students under 21 wishing to study the blues at camps and workshops and The HART (Handy Artist Relief Trust) Fund and the COVID-19 Blues Musician Emergency Relief Trust Fund which offers financial assistance to blues musicians and their families for medical and funeral expenses in times of crisis such as accidents or illness. Serves as central clearing source for Blues In The Schools education programs, worldwide. Houses a state-of-the art museum which celebrates the performers, individuals, music and literature which have been inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame since its inception in 1980.

Blues Hall of Fame Museum: Wed - Fri. 10:00 am - 5:00 pm; Saturday 10:00 pm - 5:00 pm; Sunday 1:00 - 5:00 pm

Intake Process:

Walk in to tour the Hall of Fame, or call to pre-register school or tour groups; Call, Fax, email or apply for membership online. May also download application for Generation Blues youth scholarships online; application due the beginning of April and there is an approved list of camps/workshops on the website for the scholarship recipients. Call for other requests for assistance or information on events.

Program Fees:

Blues Hall of Fame: Adult: $10.00; Student (ages 13-18 or with college ID): $8.00; Blues Foundation Members and children under 12 with adult: Free; Tour and school groups welcome (must call to pre-register for groups); Foundation Membership Fees: $25.00+, depending on membership level. No Fee for blues musicians to apply for help from the HART Fund - contact Elizabeth Montgomery Brown directly at 901-527-2583 ext. 13 or at elizabeth@blues.org. Event ticket fees vary by program and are sold online within months of each event
