Description:
Special interest club provides networking opportunities for chess players, with a full service café and special chess events and free weekly meetings at an historic site in downtown Memphis (see website for schedule of events). Membership is not required to visit the club or café or to attend free weekly events. Meetings feature both casual and rated matches with monthly prize tournaments, as well as free lessons for persons new to the game.
Hours:
Mon & Tue 7:00 am - 8:30 pm;Wed - Sat 7:00 am - 9:00 am; Sun 8:00 am - 8:30 pm (see website for event schedule)
Intake Process:
Visit the club in person or register for membership online
Program Fees:
$50.00/year Social Membership; $100.00/year Tournament Membership; $150.00/year Family Membership; Visit website (memphischessclub.com/join) for information on membership benefits. Membership is not required to visit the club or café or to attend free weekly events.
