Description:

Non-profit provides networking and marketing opportunities for companies working with seniors, monthly meetings with speakers on aging topics, membership directory, and special events such as the Professional Conference on Aging in February, free Senior Expo information fair in May and free Senior Safari information fair at the Memphis Zoo in October for persons 55 and older. PNA is made up of companies, agencies and individuals who serve seniors in Shelby, Fayette, McNairy and Tipton counties in TN; Crittenden County, AR and DeSoto County, MS. The agency also offers annual scholarships of up to $8000 for Master's Level Students in Aging; the deadline to apply for the scholarships is June 1. Hours:

MEETINGS: 2nd Thursday of the month 3:30 - 4:30 pm at Germantown United Methodist Church (except for months when there are special events) CALL TO CONFIRM SCHEDULE; MEETINGS ARE SOMETIMES HELD BY ZOOM

Intake Process:

Call, email, visit website or visit a PNA meeting; to apply for the scholarship in Master's Level Aging programs, students should go to the website to download the application and for more information

Program Fees:

No Fee to attend PNA Meetings; Annual agency membership fees: $125.00; Individuals: $65.00; Senior events are free for persons 55 and older

Eligibility:

Companies, agencies and individuals working with seniors and senior issues in Shelby, Fayette, McNairy, and Tipton counties in TN; Crittenden County, AR and DeSoto County, MS; Scholarships are open to applicants who are enrolled or about to be enrolled in Master's Level Studies in Aging (Masters level social work, counseling, nursing, occupational or speech or physical therapy who will focus on working with seniors in the Memphis metro area). Previous PNA scholarship winners are not eligible to apply again.
