Description:

Administers Circuit Court and Election Commission services that include voter registration and jury duty for Tate County residents and the issuing of marriage licenses for persons wishing to marry in Mississippi. Current Election Commissioners: District 1, Delores Wooten; District 2, Tammy Johnston; District 3, Jocelynn Dowl; District 4, Edith Floate; and District 5, Ellis Blount.

Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Intake Process:

Marriage applicants must obtain license before the ceremony; both parties must appear together and present valid IDs; show proof of divorce, if within last six months; show proof that age is 21 or older; otherwise, parent must sign approval. Licenses cannot be issued unless male applicant is at least 17 and female applicant is at least 15 years old.

Marriage Licenses: $37.00
