Description:

Program targets talented, high-achieving students of color to become future Memphis leaders. Offers monthly leadership and professional development workshops, ACT preparation and community service projects for grades 9-12. Provides academic advisement to students and their families regarding scholarship opportunities and exposure to top colleges and universities. Maintains contact throughout college to ensure continued academic success. Identifies summer internship opportunities. Assists graduates with career prospects upon their return to Memphis, TN.

Mon - Fri 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Eligibility:

Grades 9-12 high school students of color (African-American, Hispanic, Middle Eastern, Native American, etc.) from any school in Shelby County, TN, with a 3.5-plus cumulative GPA and 25-plus ACT score. (GPA requirements apply to applicants in grades 10-12;ACT score requirement applies to senior applicants only.)
