Description:

Provides community center for the city of Memphis with variety of recreational facilities and programs, including an outdoor pool, meeting spaces, gymnasium, craft room, dance room, computer lab and homework help. Activities include programs for seniors every Tuesday and Thursday beginning at 12:00 noon, girls and boys basketball, flag football, nutrition education programs, teen book club, arts and crafts, hip-hop, street dance, step teams, cheerleading, the Little Princess program for girls in the 1st-5th grades, Lexia youth literacy computer program, the Grow Program, and summer camp for children ages 5-15.

Hours:

Regular Center Hours: Mon - Fri Noon - 8:00 pm; Sat 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; Senior Programs: Tue & Thu Noon; Closed on Sundays.

Intake Process:

Call or visit website for information on programs and meeting room availability; IDs for pool passes only issued here when the outdoor pool is open during the summer; only Bickford and Hickory Hill pools do year-round IDs for pool passes.

Program Fees:

Fees Vary; some programs are free

Memphis residents; summer camp for ages 5-15
