Description:

Collierville fire has five firehouses; each is staffed 24 hours per day. The fire department is an Insurance Services Office (ISO) Protection class 2. The Operation's Division consists of seventy-two cross-trained firefighters of which thirty-eight are licensed Paramedics and thirty-four are licensed Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians.

The Fire Prevention Bureau is responsible for enhancing life safety and property protection in the community, primarily through education, inspection and enforcement of the fire code. Fire and injury prevention services are provided through this division to the public through Community Risk Reduction Program Strategies which are designed to target at-risk groups such as children, elderly, and low income. Kids Safe Program educates preschool children about how to recognize and avoid common fire dangers in order to mitigate incidents of injury and/or death. Offers station tours, speaking engagements and participates in Fair-on-the-Square.
