Description:
Provides information on gardens, shrubs, lawns and trees and offer a Master Gardener's program. Also provides information on farming, 4-H clubs and nutrition education. Provides pamphlets on money management, family life, weight control, stress management, nutrition for better health and personal growth. Sponsors the Tennessee Nutrition and Consumer Education Program (TNCEP) for individuals who participate or are eligible to participate in SNAP (food stamps) program with instruction in food preparation/preservation, menu planning, budgeting and incorporating physical activity. Sponsors Jan-March meetings on topics such as crop and beef cattle production. Supplies containers for mailing soil samples to Nashville for analysis. (Individuals are responsible for mailing samples). Sponsors Tennessee's MANAGE program to help farm families deal with financial difficulties and related stress. MANAGE offers workshops, group meetings, and individual farm and home visits. Also offers co-parenting classes for divorced parents on the third Wednesday of the month by pre-registration only.

Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (closed for lunch Noon - 1:00 pm)
Intake Process:
Call or visit website for information; must pre-register and pay for court ordered co-parenting class partly in advance (NOTE: DIVORCING PARENTS MAY NOT ATTEND THE SAME CLASS)
Program Fees:
Fees vary by program and materials; most materials and services are free; Court-ordered Co-Parenting Classes are $40.00 for registration, with an additional $50.00 fee in cash or money order due the day of the class
