Description:
Families in Transitional (FIT) housing program offers transitional housing and rapid re-housing for homeless youth and pregnant/parenting individuals fleeing domestic violence in Frayser, Hickory Hill and Whitehaven neighborhoods in Memphis. FIT families receive counseling, housing, life skills and parenting classes, job readiness training, budgeting guidance, mentoring and more. DTD Partner Agency.

Mon - Fri 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Eligibility:
Homeless Youth or Pregnant/Parenting individuals fleeing domestic violence; Parents or pregnant homeless men or women must single, be ages 18 and above; can have up to three additional children if pregnant; must be Shelby County resident and full-time student or employed to remain in housing for extended periods. Agency focuses on helping persons fleeing domestic violence in Frayser, Hickory Hill and Whitehaven but anyone in Shelby County may call for assistance for initial assessment
