Description:

Provides long-term residential programs (six months to a year long) for men with substance abuse issues. Includes work therapy such as collecting, repairing, and selling donated items. Men live at the center and work through a free, six-month education and work program that focuses on job training and retention in a 120-bed facility plus a 12-bed transitional facility for those who have finished the first part of the program. Participants get meals, clothing, shelter and job readiness training. This is NOT a homeless shelter, but will accept men who are homeless with addiction who are committed to the six-month program. This is also NOT a job placement program, though it does provide vocational counseling, including referral to TN Department of Vocational Rehabilitation to men with alcohol and drug problems who have completed the residential substance abuse rehabilitation program.

Hours:

Office Hours: Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 4:00 pm; prefer to take walk in clients in the morning

Program Fees:

No fee, unless the participant receives income, in which case they will have to pay room and board

Eligibility:

Men, ages 21-65, with alcohol and/or drug problems; must have Social Security card (or letter stating it will be mailed to client at our address), one other form of ID (valid state ID or driver's license). Participants must stay at center while in program for at least six months.
