Description:

Provides individual development account assistance for eligible employed individuals that are eligible to file for EITC on federal tax returns and meet other guidelines. The Save Up program allows savings to be matched two to one, up to $1,000.00, for purchase of a house, computer, post-secondary education or micro-enterprise.

The Save Up program provides individual development account assistance for eligible Memphis Housing Authority (MHA) residents and MHA Section 8 voucher holders, which allows an eligible person's savings to be matched two to one, up to $1,000.00, for the purchase of a house, computer, post-secondary education or micro-enterprise.

Mon - Fri 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Intake Process:

Call 901-507-8884 to register and for location of next orientation session, which interested participants must attend. Requires copy of last year's tax returns and last two paystubs or other documents (for example, a MHA voucher).

Eligibility:

Must have been eligible for EITC on previous year's tax return OR a resident of Memphis Housing Authority property or use a MHA Section 8 voucher to participate in program; must be employed full or part-time.
