Memphis Light, Gas and Water - Winter Moratorium

MLGW Winter No Disconnect Program

Description:

MLGW does not disconnect utility service during December, January or February for customers who are 60 and over or have a disability. However, those balances are due in March unless other arrangements are made. November billing must be paid in full before acceptance into program. Participating customers with account balances at end of program are eligible for extended payment plan for up to three months.

Eligibility:

To qualify for the winter moratorium, must be ages 60 or older or disabled with no outstanding bill at the beginning of program. Elderly or disabled applicant must also be the customer of record on the utility bill. Those who previously qualified and have not changed addresses or had delinquent accounts remain on the program. Requires proof of age or disability, income and application
