Memphis Light, Gas and Water - Payment Extension Requests

Description:

Provides online form to request payment extension for utility bills beyond current due dates. If already cut off, customer must pay cut-off amount in full and is not eligible for special payment arrangement. Go to http://www.mlgw.com/payarrange to request an extension online. Customers requesting extensions must have received cut-off notices within 10 days of calling and pay 25% of balances within 4 days after due dates of cutoff notices. Balances are extended for up to eight days past cut-off dates. EXCEPTIONS to these guidelines are available to customers with proof of temporary financial hardship caused by unemployment, hospitalization, or death of family member. May also request payment extension by calling (901) 544-6549 or by walking into any MLGW office (if they are accepting walk in customers; call to check on this first).
