NOTE: DUE TO COVID-19, STILL BY APPOINTMENT ONLY AS OF 10/18/2021. Div of Water Pollution Control is responsible for administration of TN Water Quality Control Act of 1977 (T.C.A. 69-3-101). the non-coal surface mining program and illegal coal mining under TN Coal Surface Mining Law of 1980, as amended. Provides information on proper disposal of household hazardous waste, local collection times/sites. Cleans abandoned, hazardous substance sites; regulates some underground well injection. Div of Water Resources is responsible for administration of TN Water Quality Control Act of 1977 (T.C.A. 69-3-101). the non-coal surface mining program and illegal coal mining under TN Coal Surface Mining Law of 1980, as amended. Memphis Environmental Field Office serves Fayette, Shelby and Tipton counties.
