Memphis Tilth promotes collective action for an economically sustainable, socially equitable, environmentally sound local food system. Memphis Tilth has five programs: Grow Local, Cook Together, Giving Grove, Urban Agriculture Academy and Farm Direct. These programs include the St Paul Community Garden, Bring It Food Hub, St Jude Garden, and the Chelsea Avenue Garden and Farmers Market. Low income communities in Memphis can apply through the GrowMemphis program for startup money to create productive and educational urban community gardens that grow fresh and nutritious food.

Eligibility:

Residents of low-income neighborhoods in Memphis are encouraged to contact GrowMemphis Garden Program about starting a garden in their community or to volunteer in existing gardens or to contact the agency about instruction at the Urban Agriculture Academy.
