Description:
OCA (Office of Community Affairs) links Memphis communities with mayor's office by working with Mayor's Citizen Service Center to help implement community programs, insure quality customer service, and foster good community relations. Also functions as liaison/resource office to promote and support ethnic and religious communities in Memphis. Encourages citizens to improve their own neighborhoods through collaborations with other City of Memphis divisions, non-profits, faith-based organizations and businesses. Offers workshops and trainings on how to create neighborhood-based community and civic associations and provides other technical assistance to empower neighborhoods to help themselves.
