NOTE: AS OF 8/06/21, STILL MUST WEAR MASK TO ENTER THE FACILITY DUE TO COVID-19 AND FOLLOW OTHER GUIDELINES. HOURS SUBJECT TO CHANGE SO CALL FIRST TO CHECK SCHEDULE. Provides periodontal dentistry, oral surgery, pediatric dentistry, orthodontic, prosthodontic services and some emergency care. Work performed by students under faculty supervision. Most appointments last four hours. More sessions may be necessary than for comparable work done by a private dentist. Emergency clinic is for treating emergency conditions only, such as pain, accidents, abscesses, badly decayed teeth, toothaches and infections. Being seen in the Emergency clinic does not make you a patient of the regular clinic; this requires patients to go through a screening clinic. The number of times a patient can be seen in the emergency clinic is limited to three times.

Emergency Clinic Hours (arrive before 6:45 am on Monday - Friday till slots are filled; call ahead to check schedule; closed on holidays)

Intake Process:

Call for appointment or walk in during Emergency clinic hours (be there by before 6:45 am for Emergency Clinic, usually on Monday - Friday); days vary-call ahead for schedule; long term care requires that patients attend orientation session and commit to sometimes lengthy appointments.

Program Fees:

Typically 1/3-1/2 the cost of same work done by some private dentists. Accepts credit cards, some TennCare providers, MS Medicaid for ages 18 and under; accepts private insurance but patient is required to file their own insurance papers and pay up front for services. Fees start at $115.00 for Emergency clinic services.
