Description:

Provides grants to qualified homeowners for home repairs to help make their homes lead safe and meet local building codes. Includes issues that are detrimental to health, life, property, and/or public welfare, such as cracked foundations, mold mitigation, lead and asbestos removal, repairs to roofs, flooring, doors, ceilings, windows, electrical wiring, and heating and cooling units as well as accessibility modifications. Translation services available.

Eligibility:

Homeowners (must be owner-occupied) living outside the city of Memphis and inside Shelby County, including residents of Arlington, Bartlett, Millington, Eads, Collierville, Germantown and any unincorporated area within the county. Must meet income requirements (make less than 80% of the area median by household size, own their own home and the home must be insured); home must pass building, plumbing and electrical code inspections.
