Description:

Provides grassroots child advocacy organization that focuses on securing adequate funding for public schools and educational reform in Memphis and Shelby County. The organization works to ensure that all children, regardless of their background, graduate from high school and are prepared for, and have access to a college education or career training. Stand for Children works with parents, teachers and community members to demand excellent schools and advocate for local, state and national education policies. STAND also works to elect leaders and education champions that will make the education of children their number one priority.
