Description:

Provides contemporary ballet company and school that promotes diversity in ballet and increases access to classical ballet training in Memphis and Shelby County. Several programs are available: the Creative Movement class for boys and girls ages 2-3; the Introductory Petit Pas Ballet Program for boys and girls ages 4-6; the Tarantella Ballet Program for boys and girls ages 7-9; the Eleve Program (intermediate) ages 9-18; and the Etude Advanced Program for boys and girls ages 9-18. Professional division (Ballet training) is offered for 9-12 year olds for talented dedicated students aspiring for a professional career in ballet/dancing. Also provides Tap dancing instruction classes for beginners and intermediate levels. Street Jazz and West African dance are offered as well. Tuition is charged on a sliding scale fee based on income and full scholarships are available for boys. Due to COVID-19, the agency is currently offering virtual programming as well.
