Provides a farmers market each Thursday from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm from June through August at the corner of Mississippi Blvd and South Parkway East (former location of the Carter Fish Market Store). This market accepts EBT cards and has a SoMe Green Savings Program, where EBT dollars are matched up to $20.00 towards the purchase of fresh produce. There is also a token program; with this program customers can swipe their debit, credit or SNAP (food stamp) cards at the market information table to purchase tokens for discounted produce. SMFM has vendors who accept the Senior Farmers Market Vouchers. A fully stocked grocery store (The Grocer at SMFM) is open all year round at the same location and offers free budget-friendly, healthy-eating cooking classes. Deliveries in 38106 and 38126; $2.50 delivery fee.
