Description:

Provides non-driver identification licenses (including free voting only ID--ask at the center for specific eligibility details for this type of ID). No testing is required for regular photo ID, but applicants must provide proof of identity, proof of TN residency and legal residency in the US.

Hours:

Mon - Fri 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Knowledge test: Mon - Fri 8:30am - 3:30 pm
Arrive 30 minutes early for road test

Closed for state holidays

Intake Process:

Requires proof of US citizenship, lawful permanent resident status or authorized stay in the US; proof of identity; proof of name changes if different on your primary ID; two proofs of TN Residency dated within the last four months (no PO Boxes accepted); Social Security number or sworn affidavit that no SSN has ever been issued for you (if you have no SSN, must also provide birth certificate or documents from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service acceptable to the Department of Safety).

Applicants who are intellectually or physically disabled must also provide a certified statement from a doctor stating that they are unable to operate a vehicle.

If you are under 18 a parent or guardian will have to fill out an additional form.

Program Fees:

Fees vary from $6.50-$12.50, depending on your age (unless the applicant has intellectual or physical disabilities, in which case the ID is free).
