Shelby County Land Bank

Description:

Land Bank handles real estate transactions for Shelby County. It also has properties obtained in Shelby County tax sales available for sale to private parties and for nominal consideration to qualifying non-profits. Non-profits must provide a plan and time frame for property development for consideration of donated parcels. Check the website for current inventory, updated nightly, and how to submit a property request.

Intake Process:

Visit website for information (click on "Shelby County Land Bank" on the left side of the homepage) with current inventory of available properties in Shelby County; may also email (Landbank@shelbycountytn.gov) for an appointment or with questions, or to submit an offer for a property

Program Fees:

Fees vary by property; property may be free to non-profits, but new owners must pay processing and recording fees for the property

Eligibility:

Individuals, businesses or registered non-profits in TN wishing to acquire property in Shelby County; both sales and nominal consideration conveyances (for non-profits) have different eligibility requests for buyers of these properties.
